Each year we conduct public engagement to get input from residents and businesses to guide the development of the draft annual budget.

All public input on the budget helps to inform City Council’s deliberation of the draft budget, leading to the approval of a final budget for the upcoming year.

You can share your ideas and ask questions about the City’s budget using the tools below. You can also send you ideas and questions to budget@quesnel.ca.

Budget Process

The budget process allows the City of Quesnel to make resource allocation decisions, including choices about staffing, service levels, and which priorities will be addressed in the coming fiscal year. Priorities for Council are set out in their Strategic Plan.

Budget Presentation

Council is holding a Special Open meeting to discuss the 2024 Operating Budget.

Join us for a presentation, review and discussion, followed by an open question period, allowing the public an opportunity to engage in the budget process.
